January 2026: 240 Euro for a Better World
How technology saves lives – our first donation month in 2026
The beginning of a movement
At Lumi-Systems.io, we believe in three fundamental principles: Life. Freedom. Learning.
These values are not marketing phrases. They are the compass by which we make every decision – from choosing our technology partners to deciding where our profits go.
In January 2026, we publicly took stock for the first time. The result: 240 euros in donations – distributed among organizations that share our values and fight every day to ensure every living being gets a chance.
Our donation recipients in January 2026
🐱 Pesaleidja – Estonia
Donation: 100 euros
Pesaleidja is an animal shelter in Estonia that gives abandoned cats a second chance. Here, cats that nobody wanted anymore find a temporary home – until they find their permanent new home.
The donation went specifically to Meeta, a cat currently waiting to be rehomed.
🐱 MTÜ Gabrieli Loomade Elu – Estonia
Donation: 120 euros
Gabrieli Loomade Elu – in English: The life of Gabriel's animals – is the life's work of a man who has dedicated himself to a single mission: To save every cat that needs help.
No matter how sick. No matter how injured. No matter how hopeless the situation seems. Gabrieli takes them all in. He organizes medical care, surgeries, rehabilitation – and gives every cat the time it needs.
Its motto: „Iga elusolend väärib võimalust“ – Every living being deserves a chance.
These 120 Euro come directly from the sale of two refurbished notebooks. Two devices that did not end up as electronic waste. Two customers who chose sustainability. And an organization that benefits from it.

💙 Zorin OS Technologies Ltd. – Ireland
Donation: 20 Euro
Without open-source software, Lumi-Systems.io would not be possible. Zorin OS is the operating system we install on every one of our devices – a secure, elegant, and user-friendly Linux system that makes switching from Windows as easy as possible.
Zorin OS is developed in Ireland – a European company that proves technological innovation does not have to come from Silicon Valley.
With this donation, we give something back to the community that makes our work possible.
Why we do this
Lumi-Systems.io is more than a company that sells refurbished notebooks.
We are part of a movement. A movement that believes technology does not have to come at the expense of our planet. That high-quality hardware should not end up in the trash after three years. That security and data protection must not be luxury goods.
And that companies bear responsibility – not only towards their customers, but towards society.
Our promise:
- 20% of our profits go to animal welfare organizations
- Direct donations to open-source projects that make our work possible
- Transparent reporting – every month, publicly, verifiably
What you get when you choose Lumi-Systems.io

The way forward
240 euros in January 2026. It is a modest beginning.
But it is a beginning.
Our goal is clear: This number should grow. Every month. With every device we sell. With every person who chooses sustainable technology.
We invite you to become part of this movement.
Not because you need a new notebook. But because you can change something with your decision.
Every device counts. Every cat counts. Every step counts.
